A clearer picture of ADHD, before the consult starts

Our Executive Functioning & Functional Assessment Service gives your patients a structured, pre-consultation overview of ADHD-related functioning — so your consult time goes to diagnosis, complexity and treatment planning, not history-taking from a blank page.

Why GPs Refer Us

ADHD Counselling

Streamlines the assessment process

Patients arrive having already covered ADHD symptom patterns, functional impact, executive functioning and developmental history — your consult starts from a structured baseline, not a blank page.

ADHD Screening

Goes beyond a symptom checklist

Standardised tools (AEFS, ASRS-v1.1, WFIRS) profile attention, planning and emotional regulation against daily-life impact — built for functional formulation, not a yes/no on symptoms.

ADHD Helpline

Supports treatment readiness

Many adults present with burnout, dysregulation or low self-esteem alongside ADHD features. Our feedback session includes psychoeducation, so patients reach you better informed and ready for collaborative care.

A functional formulation, not just a label.

The assessment maps three core domains, then sets them against real-world functional impact — at work, at home, and in relationships.

Domain 01 — Attention & CognitionDomain 02 — Planning & Task ExecutionDomain 03 — Emotion & Self-Regulation
Attention regulation
Working memory
Task initiation
Organisation & follow-through
Time management
Emotional regulation
Self-monitoring
Rejection sensitivity

Cross-referenced against functional impairment, stress load and daily-life outcomes across work, study, relationships and routines.

Two sessions. One structured report back to you.

Delivered entirely via telehealth, Australia-wide.

Step sequence

  1. Session 1 — Clinical interview (55–60 min): developmental and background history, executive functioning, emotional wellbeing, daily functioning and ADHD-related concerns.
  2. Between sessions: standardised measures completed and returned electronically; findings reviewed and integrated into a written report.
  3. Session 2 — Feedback (55–60 min): findings, psychoeducation, practical recommendations, and next steps, supports or treatment pathways.
  4. Report to you: with patient consent, the full report or a summary is forwarded directly to the referring GP.

When this assessment adds the most clinical value.

As an independent charity, our priority is people before profit. We don’t sell programs or operate within a commercial clinical model — our focus is ethical, evidence-informed support that complements the care you already provide.

  • Complex adult presentations — multiple functional domains affected and/or diagnostic complexity.
  • High-masking individuals — significant internal impairment with limited external visibility.
  • Burnout or emotional dysregulation — prominent stress load, overwhelm, or affective instability.
  • Longstanding self-esteem difficulties — chronic negative self-appraisal linked to functional challenges.
  • Holistic support needs — where medication alone is unlikely to address functional impairment.
  • Pre-assessment collateral structure — when a consolidated functional overview would help before the diagnostic consult.
