Why GPs Refer Here

ADHD Counselling

A safe, accessible alternative to private psychology

Patients facing long waitlists, high fees or limited access to ADHD-informed clinicians get a same-system option you can refer to directly.

ADHD Screening

ADHD-informed, clinically supervised care

Counselling is delivered under clinical supervision and aligned with the functional and emotional challenges commonly seen in general practice — without replacing diagnosis, medication management or specialist treatment.

ADHD Helpline

A referral that runs itself

Submit a referral once. Intake, scheduling, reminders and invoicing are fully automated — no ongoing administrative burden for your practice.

Affordable care, without cutting corners on safety

Counselling is delivered by Master of Counselling students completing their final supervised placement prior to registration — every session sits inside a structured clinical supervision framework.

What counselling helps patients work through

  • Emotional regulation difficulties — frustration, sensitivity, overwhelm and stress.
  • Executive functioning challenges — organisation, planning, time management and daily functioning.
  • Co-occurring presentations — anxiety, depression and sleep disturbance.
  • Relationship & interpersonal difficulties — communication and connection challenges.
  • Workplace performance challenges — attention, memory, impulsivity and fatigue.
  • Exploring ADHD symptoms — for patients seeking clarity before or alongside diagnosis.

For seven years, our entirely volunteer-run organisation has operated across metropolitan, regional, rural and remote communities — reducing the financial burden of ADHD assessment and ensuring people receive clear, evidence-informed guidance. All services are delivered by highly trained ADHD practitioners, free from commercial influence.

One referral. The rest is automated.

Delivered nationally via secure medical practice software and telehealth.

Step sequence

  1. Refer — complete the online referral form and select counselling.
  2. Intake pack sent — the Foundation emails the patient their information pack and intake forms, completed online.
  3. Patient portal access — the patient gets their own secure login to submit intake forms and track appointments, notes, invoices and session history; fully automated, no manual processing required from your practice.
  4. Appointment selected — the patient chooses a session time, with guidance from their counsellor if needed.
  5. Confirmed & invoiced — the appointment is confirmed and an invoice is issued.
  6. Reminder & telehealth link — the patient receives a reminder and a secure telehealth link ahead of the session.

GPs may also direct patients to self-refer directly, if preferred.
