October is designated as ADHD Awareness Month, time, and a time to celebrate the achievements of our Australian ADHD community. Throughout the year, the ADHD Foundation Australia offers our community reliable support, events, learning opportunities, and education for teachers. Our National ADHD Helpline, which handles over 50 calls daily, provides counselling and assistance to communities, organizations, individuals, and parents seeking help for those living with ADHD. By focusing on the national level, the ADHD Foundation meets the needs of the Australian community through the ADHD National Helpline.
This year’s theme, “Awareness is Key,” is driving the ADHD Foundation’s remarkable national awareness campaign, inviting every Australian to participate in the first-ever Australian National ADHD Awareness campaign.

“Some days sparkle with excitement, while others feel overwhelming. Living with ADHD has been a unique and challenging journey for me. Diagnosed at 15, I’ve learned to embrace my differences and find strength through support, medication, and most importantly—exercise. That’s why I’m taking on this challenge, running 21 km every day for 21 days. It’s a tribute to young Emily and everyone in the ADHD community who needs help and awareness.” Follow daily progress and learn how Emily overcomes ADHD in her daily life.
