DR TAMARA MAY – PSYCHOLOGIST
Dr Tamara May is a psychologist in private practice, research affiliate at Monash University, and lecturer. Tamara was a member of the guideline development group and project management team for the 2022 Australian evidence-based clinical practice guideline for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, which has recently been endorsed by the NHMRC.
Her research interests include advancing knowledge about autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and mental health conditions including complex trauma. Tamara has over 70 peer reviewed journal articles, has attracted over $2.5m in research funding and presented at numerous international and national conferences. She is passionate about supporting people with neurodevelopmental and other chronic mental health conditions using comprehensive, trauma informed approaches such as schema therapy.
